U of MN Homecoming 2002 - A Legacy of Heroes

It's a bird, it's a plane... no, it's a Heroes Homecoming! Goldie needs some superhuman support in leading this year's celebration and is eagerly looking for two students to fill the royal shoes. This is a position reserved for only the most devoted Gophers. If you feel YOU could be a Champion Homecoming King or Queen, bring your completed application and $35 to the south entrance of the Women's Sports Pavilion at 7:00pm Monday, September 30th. You will receive an official Homecoming T-shirt, button, and find yourself at the center of the Homecoming festivities.

Visual Essay

As part of the Royalty competition, we would like for you to prepare a "visual essay." This composition should express who you are: your background, interests, involvement, etc. We want to understand who you are by looking at your work. Be creative and have fun! Use materials, pictures, gadgets, what have you.

Please Keep in Mind:

  • However you decide to accomplish this task, make sure that it has a base of an 8" x 11" sheet of paper.
  • It needs to be turned in between 8am - 12 Noon on Friday, October 4th.
  • Please bring it to: McNamara Alumni Center, Suite 200.
  • Don't forget to pick up your visual essay between 2 - 3pm on October 4th.
  • We will not accept your essays after 12 Noon!!!
  • Have fun and good luck!
