Announcements

Location Change: Homecoming Pepfest and Concert

The pepfest scheduled for tomorrow night (Friday) has been relocated to Coffman Union's Great Hall due to the forecast of severe weather.

The event schedule is as follows:

• Cheer Competition: 5pm, Great Hall, Coffman Memorial Union

• Pep Fest: 6:30pm, Great Hall, Coffman Memorial Union

  Featuring performances by the University of Minnesota's Marching Band, the Dance Team, Cheer Team, as well as a demonstration by the Women's Gymnastics Team. Speakers include Assistant Football Coach Moe Ankeny, Women's Gymnastics Coach Meg Stephenson, and Athletics Director Joel Maturi!

  Free hot chocolate, apple cider, and caramel apples available while supplies last.

• Homecoming Concert: 8:30pm Great Hall, Coffman Memorial Union

• The bonfire has been cancelled

Royalty Crowning
The crown becomes reality for two lucky University students later this week on Friday, Oct. 22 at the Bonfire and Pepfest at the East River Flats. Vote for your King and Queen for the University of Minnesota's 2004 Homecoming  Royalty candidates online. All registered University of Minnesota-Twin Cities students may vote once.

Purchase your button for $1 at Coffman, The St. Paul Student Center & The West Bank Skyway information desks. Homecoming t-shirts are also available throughout the week at events. Don't Miss out on the special "You're Fired!" edition!

You don't have to go to the UK to see royalty!
Get fired up because we are proud to announce the candidates who have been selected to continue on in the royalty selection process. Also Check out the Homecoming Royalty schedule of events.

Registration for competitions is now available online.
Residence halls, greek organizations and campus community groups can register for a variety of homecoming activities including sports, lip sync, cheer and more. Register here.

Blood Drive
The need for blood in out nation's blood banks is real. Contribute your blood or you time at the Homecoming Blood Drive at Coffman on October 19. Learn more here.

Ski-U-Mah Challenge: Win Homecoming tickets
Want to go to the Homecoming game, but haven't gotten tickets yet? Participate in the Ski-U-Mah Challenge for a chance to win tickets to Gopher Football, Volleyball or Soccer. All you have to do is stop by the Gopher Express, Gopher Express West or the Gopher Spot by noon on Tuesday, October 19 and answer our trivia question. Click here for more information.
