Register to participate in the 2006 Homecoming Parade!
The Homecoming Executive Committee invites you to participate in the 2006 Homecoming parade on November 4th, 2006 at 9am. Saddle up for this years theme, University of Minnesota Homecoming 2006: Wild Wild Midwest!
Created to encourage school spirit and to increase interest in attending Gopher athletic events, the 2006 Homecoming Parade also promotes unity among students, staff, faculty, alumni and the surrounding community.
Participate in one of the largest events on campus while becoming a part of the University of Minnesota's most memorable traditions!
Student group parade participants promote diverse on-campus involvement opportunities that meet the needs of students and the campus community. Student organizations who wish to use the parade as means of job recruitment, political campaigning, or other 3rd party activities /must /register to participate in the parade as a non-University entry.
As stated in the 2006-07 student organization handbook "student groups cannot reserve spaces for use by other student groups, University departments, outside groups or individual use to provide access or reduced costs in using University facilities, services, or staff. Providing this inappropriate access to student group benefits may result in disciplinary action against your group."
The Registration Deadline has been extended to October 16, 2006.
- For all registered Student Organizations and University affiliated groups, entrance into the parade is free.
- For all non-University affiliated groups, the parade entry fee is $200.
- For all groups wishing to participate in the float competition and to have their floats judged, there is an additional fee of $75.
- Due to limited space, entries will be assigned according to their date of registration.
After submitting your application you must mail a check payable to the University of Minnesota for all applicable entry fees to:
