Community Service
Blood Drive
Tuesday, October 30th
Great Hall 9:30am - 4:30pm
From its beginning, the American Red Cross has formed a community service of generous, strong and decent people bound by beliefs beyond themselves. The honor, spirit and resources of the American people come forth with neighbors helping neighbors in need during earthquakes, floods, fires, storms and also for the deeply personal and often quiet disasters that require the gift of blood.
Please help your community by donating! It's quick and easy!

Candlelight Vigil
November 1st
West Bank Plaza to Coffman Memorial Union, 8pm
Because it occurred so close to the University, the recent 35W bridge collapse affected many of our students, faculty, and staff. In memory of this devastating event we are hosting a candle light vigil to the Washington Avenue Bridge from Coffman Memorial Union where there will be a commemoration ceremony in honor of the victims and all those affected by this tragedy. The remains are a constant visible reminder to our University community of the tragic event and the bravery of those that helped victims to safety. We hope to pay tribute to those involved in the rescue and the care of the bridge survivors as well as remember those that were lost. Please join fellow campus and community members as we walk from Coffman to the center of the Washington Avenue Bride for a moment of silence on November 1st at 8pm.
