The band competition will be held on Saturday, April 27th while
the Ballyhoo competition is being conducted. The competition will start
at 11:00AM. The location will also be on the East Bank campus, Church Street,
between Ford and Morrill Hall.
- Band will be judged on a 100-point scale, additional points will be
awarded for U of MN faculty participation.
- Each band may have maximum of 12 members.
- Each band will have twelve minutes of playing time and five minutes
for set up and takedown.
- The point distribution for Band is divided up in the following areas:
Presentation, Vocals, Attitude, and Spirit (band and audience), creativity,
originality, costumes, stage presence, and theme usage. You will be awarded
extra points if a U of M faculty member is part of your Band.
