Bijou Films: "One Day in September"
On September 5, 1972, eight Palestinian terrorists killed two Israeli athletes and took nine others hostage at the Munich Olympic Village. The event stopped the games and perhaps for the first time fully illustrated the volatile state of affairs in the Mideast. Kevin Macdonald's 1999 Academy Award-winning documentary reconstructs the events, shedding light on what the world saw on television with the revelation of behind-the-scenes blunders. Cross-Country Skiing at the U of M Arboretum
Swoosh your way through the woodlands, native prairie, and marshes of the U of M Arboretum with COA. All experience levels are welcome; some instruction will be provided. Trip includes admission to the Arboretum, cross-country skis, transportation, hot cider, and a snack.
