College Bowl Club
College Bowl is a trivia competition team which represents the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities at tournaments around the country. Most recently, the University of Minnesota team won national championships in 2004 and 2005. Most travel expenses, including plane tickets, most hotel rooms, and some food expenses are provided free of charge to team members.
College bowl is basically a trivia game, testing both individual and team knowledge. It is a game of both knowledge and quick reflexes, as players must not only know the answer, but be the first one to ring in. Topics covered range from science to literature to history to popular culture and sports.
Practices are held twice weekly, Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6pm, in Coffman Memorial Union, Room 305. However, team members are not required to attend every minute of every practice; time requirements are very flexible. Individuals of all skill levels are welcome to attend.
