YMCA 5K Run / Walk Information

What: 5K Run / Walk
Where: Twin Cities Campus – See Map
When: Saturday, April 26th - Registration: 8:00am, Race: 9am
Why: To benefit the University YMCA and its programs

Registration Information:

To register, please download the following registration form and send the bottom portion of the form along with your $15 registration fee to the address below or email an electronic copy to u-ymca@umn.edu and bring the registration fee on the day of the race. T-shirts will be distributed at the entrance of the race.

About the University YMCA:

University YMCA works hand in hand with the University of Minnesota and the surrounding Twin Cities community. Whether it is volunteering with the Minneapolis elementary schools, studying social justice issues or working to better our community businesses through internships, the YMCA is there. The University YMCA offers three programs focused on helping the Minneapolis youth including a mentoring program (Y-Buddies), a tutoring program (Y-Tutors) and a program focused on giving youth insight to higher education (Y-Scholars). It also offers four other programs focused on bettering the life and college experience of University Students. These programs include an internship program (Metro), alternative spring break trips to study social justice issues (Immersion), an environmental backpacking group, and one time volunteer opportunities (Volunteers for a Day). Many of these programs have been around since the 1960s and are still making major impacts on the Twin Cities community.
