The People's Fire Coalition is a campus group dedicated to bringing lively and exciting fire performances to the University of Minnesota community. We encourage individuals with all skills levels and familiarity with fire performance to join. Some of the many tools we will use in our performances include: poi, staff, batons, juggling torches, fans, palms, swords, hoops, and really anything that can be set on fire in a performance context. Please note that FIRE BREATHING WILL NOT BE ALLOWED as it is an extremely dangerous activity. We are a safety-first organization, and since fire performance is necessarily dangerous, all members will be required to demonstrate familiarity with basic fire safety and fire performance procedures. We will work with the City of Minneapolis and the University of MInnesota to provide a safe environment for both our performers and our audience.
