To provide opportunities for students to develop leadership, further professional roles in agricultural education, and maintain a relationship with the National FFA Organization.

Group's principal activities, events, or programs:

The largest component of our club is the organization and service to youth across the state of Minnesota. We sponsor invitational contests, assist in state convention, and promote FFA and 4-H to youth across the state. The U of M, St. Paul campus hosts Fall and Winter Invitationals to provide over 2,000 High School students the opportunity to compete and prepare for CDE contests. The Agricultural Education Club is a key component to these contests. The success of the Minnesota State Convention could not have been accomplished without the devoted students of the Agricultural Education Club.

How this group's activities benefit the University community:

Our organizations strive to support our community. Beyond the youth services we provide during invitationals, Ag Activity day, and Minnesota State Convention – we support the department, University, and the local community. One service provided by the Agricultural Organizations are the efforts of ATA co-hosting student teacher seminars for pre-service and current Agricultural Educators from across Minnesota. Other community events include a toy drive and the annual ditch clean-up. Members actively volunteer to support our community.

The Agricultural Education Club utilizes resources of the Agricultural Education Department and Minnesota FFA along with the alumni to enhance student academics and experiences by providing professional and personal development opportunities.
