Active Minds aims to raise awareness, promote support, and remove stigma of mental health issues through education, advocacy, and open communication on campus.

Group's principal activities, events, or programs:

Educating students about mental health issues, hosting events to help promote mental health, volunteering in the community, fundraising, and hosting social activities for all officers and members.

How this group's activities benefit the University community:

Our meetings offer a student perspective to mental health and mental illness on campus. We work as a liaison between students and the mental health community and inform students where they can learn more or go for help.

How this group fits into its categories:

Suicide is the second leading causes of death among college students, and our age group is especially vulnerable to various mental health issues. We help students find the help they need and work to reduce the stigma that surrounds mental illness.
