If you share this passion about India and her culture, join us for this celebration called भारत Bharat / भारतम Bharatam (Sanskrit for India)!!

Our Goals:
To foster awareness about India and enhance the understanding of India's culture and way of life.
To engage is discussion of contemporary issues
Involvement in activities such as volunteering/service within the Indian community.
Celebration of India's culture and various events.

How this group's activities benefit the University community:

Our activities benefit the University community by engaging them with the culture of India and making them familiar with the socio-political issues of India.

How this group fits into its categories:

We are a socio-political cultural organization. We have recently hosted a few events, namely Holi and the screening Indian movie and celebration of Indian republic day. We have also bought an Indian classical dancer to campus. So this group is for everyone who wants to learn about another culture/country.

How to get involved with this group:

There are several ways to get involved with Bharat. We are mostly active during the Spring and Fall semesters. You can start by joining our mailing list by shooting an email to bharat.umn@gmail.com or bharat@umn.edu
