Group Description

Categories: Fraternity (non-residential)

Phi Delta Theta was organized with three principle objectives: The cultivation of friendship among its members; the acquirement individually of a degree of mental culture, and the attainment personally of a high standard of morality.

Group's principal activities, events, or programs:

Because we are an interest group, we will be focusing on recruitment, fraternity development, and event planning. Over the next few months our primary focus will be to develop the fraternity to reach goals set out by the Phi Delta Theta national headquarters for become a colony, and after that a full fledged fraternity.

We have weekly meetings on Sunday night, and plan events every week for our group of "guys". We strive and work together to achieve our three cardinal principles described above.

How this group's activities benefit the University community:

In order to go after our three goals, we must dedicate ourselves to leadership enrichment, volunteering and philanthropy, mental development, high standards of academia, and develop ourselves as well as each other. Through this we will benefit our community through student organizations, community service work, academic accomplishment, and enthusiasm.

How this group fits into its categories:

Our primary goal is to attain leaders and develop them in the community, but also provide them with fantastic opportunities, a great network, and a dedicated set of friends.

Even though we are in a state of interest, and soon to be a colony, we are dedicated and committed to bringing you a life of high standards, integrity, leadership, and of course greek life. Even though we do not have a house (YET), we are a progressive group and growing quickly.

How to get involved with this group:

People who are interested in getting involved can contact Alejandro Castellote. He can give you some additional information as to when we meet, what we are doing, and how to jump in and hit the ground running. We encourage you to check out www.areyoualeader.com and click on "I'm Interested" and fill out the little questionaire.

We plan to meet every Sunday at 8:00pm to discuss progress, growth, events, and opportunities. Please feel free to contact us to come to one of our events.
