This group is open to all skill levels of cribbage, whether you've never played or have a habit of "skunking" your opponents. We will try to play with all the player variations, including 2, 3, 4 or 6 player games. Overall, the goal is to have fun and meet some new people while mastering your skills at a game that you can play for the rest of your life.

Group's principal activities, events, or programs:

We will meet at least once a month and essentially just play cribbage. The meetings will be informal in the sense that different skill levels will probably arrive at each meeting and need to be trained in. We will try out all the variations of players and split people into their respective skill levels.

How this group's activities benefit the University community:

Cribbage, and card games in general, are a great way to meet new people and have some fun. It's amazing how much you can learn about someone by just playing cards with them. Some players may be more competitive than others, but ultimately the meetings will be designed to create a comfortable stress-free environment for students to relax.

How this group fits into its categories:

Cribbage is simply a pastime activity, and much like euchre, it is played by all age groups and is commonly known. This club seeks to teach you the fundamentals of the game.

How to get involved with this group:

In order to get involved, simply email us at [crib@umn.edu]. Feel free to join the Facebook group "Cribbage Club UMN-TC" (you must be in the Minnesota Network to join.) There is not a membership application and all skill levels are welcome. Ideally, we will meet biweekly at the same time, alternating Tuesdays and Thursdays which will be announced to all group members as we go via facebook.
