Alpha Chi Sigma is a professional fraternity for students in the chemical sciences. Beta Chapter (founded in 1904) is one of 50 collegiate chapters throughout the country. Its members, both men and women, have included 13 Nobel Laureates, 49 Presidents of the American Chemical Society, and 19 presidents of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).

How this group's activities benefit the University community:

We strive to increase an interest in chemistry in the community by going out to different libraries and elementary schools to perform chemistry experiments. The kids will also get to do hands-on experiments and come up with possible solutions to problems they may have.

How this group fits into its categories:

We are a chapter of a professional chemistry fraternity established in 1904. We are open to both men and women who may be interested in joining. We also have a house for members to live in to alleviate some financial burden.

How to get involved with this group:

You have to pledge to get involved in our fraternity, if you are not already a member. Rush happens at the beginning of the semester, and we have an information session for people to ask questions and see what the fraternity is like. This is also where they can declare an interest and start pledging.
