Exploring opportunities within the life sciences and healthcare industry on and off campus, at the same time addressing various needs in the community.

Group's principal activities, events, or programs:

Our group intends to provide members various opportunities to explore career options in the life sciences and healthcare industry. Volunteerism will be heavily emphasized as well, members will have many opportunities to get involved in the community. The group will maintain strong relationships with several organizations such as the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge. Social events to network with other students and faculty will be held every month.

How this group's activities benefit the University community:

Our group focuses on enriching students' lives through educational, community, and social events. Members will learn about campus resources, educational opportunities, and have a chance to connect with faculty members. We strongly emphasize the importance of students giving back to the community, on and off campus. This group will reach out to and coordinate with other student organizations to accomplish various projects that benefit both students and the University of Minnesota.

How this group fits into its categories:

Our group targets students with interests in the life sciences and healthcare industry. We offer members opportunities to network with professionals. Members will learn about research opportunities, as well as educational experiences in medical and science related fields. Our group plans to give back to the community in several ways such as providing consistent service at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge. Our group will be connected with several organizations. Members will learn the importance of community engagement, and hopefully will take these lessons with them into their future careers. This group will integrate education and service.
