Group's principal activities, events, or programs:

MPSA is a student organization for pharmacy students or pre-pharmacy students within the College of Pharmacy. We participate in patient care projects, attend professional meetings and educate our members about the profession of pharmacy.

How this group's activities benefit the University community:

MPSA's patient care activities strengthen the community by reaching out to patients that likely do not have easy access to health care. We also encourage members to attend professional meetings of state and national pharmacy organizations to better prepare them for practice. All these serve to raise the bar of pharmacy education and make the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy one of the best institutions for training and education pharmacists.

How this group fits into its categories:

Because we serve to educate pharmacy students and also to serve others through our patient care activities, we easily fit into the "Health and Wellness" category and "Academic and Educational" category

How to get involved with this group:

The MPSA membership drive takes place in the first 3 weeks of September, and any pharmacy student is welcome to join. Students interested in pharmacy school may inquired through the Pre-Pharmacy group at the University of Minnesota.
