Alpha Chi Omega is a national women's organization that enriches the lives of its members through lifetime opportunities of friendship, leadership, learning and service.

Group's principal activities, events, or programs:

Whether we're participating in Monday night dinners, chapter meetings, formals, study tables, homecoming/spring jam events or philanthropy events, our mission is to grow together as sisters while supporting the Greek Community, our sorority, and the University at large.

How this group's activities benefit the University community:

Last year, 14 New Student Weekend Leaders were Alpha Chi Omegas. We are involved in several different organizations on campus and our members hold many leadership roles. Each spring we have our Philanthropy Week to raise money in support of Women's Advocates - a women's shelter in St. Paul - and we are responsible for the roadside clean-up along University Ave from the 35W intersection to 13th Ave.

How this group fits into its categories:

We are, first and foremost, a sorority founded on the principals of friendship, leadership, learning and service. Each member of Alpha Chi Omega is required to complete 10 hours of community service per semester or attend 2 philanthropic events. Our chapter house has the capacity for 42 live-in members and is equipped with 20 double rooms and 4 singles. We also have a live-in House Director, a full time cook, and cleaning service.
