Group's principal activities, events, or programs:

Delta Gamma offers to women of all ages a rich heritage based on principles of personal integrity, personal responsibility and intellectual honesty. Its primary purpose is to foster high ideals of friendship, promote educational and cultural interests, create a true sense of social responsibility, and develop the finest qualities of character.

How this group's activities benefit the University community:

Delta Gamma encourages members to participate in programs sponsored by the University as well as groups within the Greek Community. We want all of our members to succeed academically so we establish programs to support their scholastic success here at the U of M. Ultimately, it is our goal to see members take full advantage of their undergraduate experience in order to better their personal growth and development as they give back to the University Community.

How this group fits into its categories:

Delta Gamma encourages its women to be active in campus life by participating in activities such as recreational and varsity athletics, student government, volunteering, and various clubs. We also spend time raising money and volunteering for our philanthropy, Service for Sight. Through involvement in these activities and organizations women build friendships, professional networks, and leadership skills.
