Sigma Alpha Epsilon is North America's largest social fraternity with more than 270,000 initiated members. Fraternal symbols include the lion, the phoenix, Minerva, and the fleur-de-lis. Sigma Alpha Epsilon was the first fraternity to establish a national headquarters (1929), a national Leadership School (1935), and a career-development program entitled the Leading Edge (1990). The Fraternity communicates through The Record magazine, a quarterly publication that has been published continuously since 1880. The mission of Sigma Alpha Epsilon is to promote the highest standards of friendship, scholarship, and service based on the ideals set forth by our Founders and as specifically enunciated in our creed The True Gentlemen.

Group's principal activities, events, or programs:

Jail & Bail - Annual philanthropy event that donates to Special Olympics Minnesota. Last year this event pledged over $75,000.

National Leadership School - Series of seminars held for the top leaders nationwide. This event is held annually on a cruise ship.

SAE benefits the community through scholarship, leadership, philanthropy and by exemplifying our creed, The True Gentleman.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon is one of the strongest fraternities at the national level, and at the University of Minnesota. SAE hold high standards in academics, leadership and community involvement.

How to get involved with this group:
