Outstanding Service/Philanthropic Project of the Year

Purpose

This award recognizes the student group or groups that have best demonstrated their efforts in planning and executing a successful service/philanthropic project.

Eligibility

  • Nominees must be student groups currently registered with Student Unions & Activities.
  • Student Group(s) must have registerd and carried out a project involving service/philanthropic efforts during calendar year 2008.
  • Nominations are due on Thursday, March 5th by 8:00am.

Essay Questions

In order to complete the nomination, the nominator will have to complete essay questions. Please limit your response to each of these questions to 250 words.

  1. Provide a detailed description of the service/philanthropic project and the population it served. Details MUST include: Date of event, number of participants, program purpose (i.e. goals and objectives), use of resources (financial, etc.), marketing techniques and evaluation processes.
  2. What efforts were used to motivate and involve the student group's membership(s)?
  3. How did the student group(s), campus, and/or community benefit from the service?
