Purpose

This award recognizes newer student groups (less than 3 years since inception) who have demonstrated significant success and development in following the mission and goals of their group. All registered student organizations (RSO) are encouraged to apply. Learn more about whether your group is an RSO or Campus Life Program (CLP) here.

Eligibility

  • Nominees must be student groups currently registered with Student Unions & Activities.
  • Student Group must be established for LESS than 3 years.
  • Nominations are due on Thursday, March 5th by 8:00am.

Essay Questions

In order to complete the nomination, the nominator will have to complete essay questions. Please limit your response to each of these questions to 250 words.

  1. What is the purpose and goal(s) of the group?
  2. Please address how the group is outstanding in the following area: recruitment, marketing, outreach to campus community, use of resources (financial, etc.), officer training and event planning.
  3. Provide specific examples of how the group has demonstrated growth and development since its inception (Answers for this question can include events before calendar year 2008).
