Grants Process Overview

The grants process has been streamlined to make applying for grants easier, and your initiatives funded by grants more successful. Here's a chart that better explains how the process works step-by-step.

  • Apply for grant online. Start Your Online Application
  • Grant Application reviewed by Grant Review Board. Decision made.
    • Funds Granted.
      • Group receives award notification email. Group must schedule pre-event meeting with Student Activities advisor within two weeks.
        • Group doesn't have pre-event meeting. Funds denied.
        • No signed statement of agreement. Funds denied.
        • Pre-event Meeting with Advisor: review judging criteria, complete and sign statement of agreement, go over event planning suggestions, schedule post-event meeting that must occur within 30 days of event end date.
          • Upon receipt of signed statement of agreement and pre-event meeting completion, check for full award is expedited and available to group.
          • Group's activity occurs.
          • Within 30 days, group must have post-event meeting with Student Activities Advisor.
          • At post-event meeting, group completes Project Evaluation and Financial Report. Receipts (if requested) are turned in.
          • Grant process complete.
    • Application denied.
      • Group receives email with copy of judging criteria and notes. If group's event date allows, may re-apply.
