U of M Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Programs Office To Honor Graduates ; Apr 27, 2004

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) students, students from GLBT families and GLBT allies will don purple mortarboards and rainbow tassels for a graduation recognition like none other at the University of Minnesota.


U of M wins national college bowl competition ; Apr 26, 2004

The University of Minnesota won the College Bowl National Championship Tournament this past weekend at Auburn University in Montgomery. This is the team’s first national win since 1989, and their fourth win over the last 20 years.


Symposium To Address World Food Needs, Intellectual Property Rights ; Apr 22, 2004

Increasing knowledge of the genome gives scientists the ability to develop crops that can meet needs in developing countries, for example, rice fortified with pro-vitamin A. But patents, the Plant Variety Protection Act and other legal hurdles could restrict the ability of the developing world to ever use such crops.
