Committee Involvement Opportunities

Become a student member of the Grant Evaluation Committees. Comprised of University faculty, staff and students, Grant Evaluation Committees meet monthly to review applications and determine funding. We are not currently seeking applicants for any committees.

Return the completed application to the Student Grants Coordinator in the Student Activities Office: 126 Coffman, 300 Washington Ave, SE, Minneapolis, MN 55455 or via e-mail at saogrant@umn.edu. The application deadline is Friday, May, 2nd, 2008.

Activities Grants Committee

The Activities Grants include the Administrative Grant as well as the Event Partnership Grant (in partnership with the Student Service Fees Committee). The Administrative Grant is designed to offer financial assistance to registered student groups planning events that build community and celebrate diversity. The Event Partnership Grant is available to all non-fee receiving student groups in an effort to promote collaborative programming and events. Your role as a committee member would be to read applications and then meet once a month with the committee for approximately four hours to discuss grant applications and decide which events are awarded funding.
