This annual fall conference offers an opportunity for students to learn new leadership skills and sharpen the ones they already posses. Students should register and take advantage of this opportunity to network with other leaders on campus and find ways to work together and learn from each other.

Registration begins at noon in the Coffman Memorial Union Theater.

As part of this one-day workshop, students will:

  • Improve or acquire organizational and leadership skill-sets
  • Network with other student leaders and professionals
  • Gain a real experience that can be listed on a resume
  • Obtain a UMSLC Leadership Certificate
  • Hear new ideas for your Student Organizations
  • Get training in fiscal management
  • Hear ideas for new ways to collaborate with other student groups
  • Benefit from basic leadership training for any student
  • Enjoy a free dinner
  • Receive a free conference notebook

SLC Goal Statement

The Student Leadership Conference will exist to provide an opportunity for all University of Minnesota students to gain valuable leadership training and acquire new skills that will help them lead in any situation.

  • Offer seamless learning for seamless leadership (leadership in every situation)
  • Provide opportunities for students to network with other students
  • Build excitement for leadership on campus
  • Provide some learning moments for students surrounding their own leadership style
  • Bring leaders on campus together
  • Provide a student experience with a University-wide scope
  • Promote the importance of citizenship and stewardship
  • Discuss areas for personal leadership
